What is Sight Reading Factory?

Sight Reading Factory (or SRF) is an website that helps you become a better musician by practicing your sight reading. Each week you have a SRF assignment to turn in on Canvas. These assignments are a large part of your grade in Choir. To learn how to complete this homework assignment, watch this instructional video or follow the steps below:

Log into Canvas. Note: I strongly recommend completing this assignment from a COMPUTER (laptop, desktop, or Chromebook), NOT a mobile device like a phone or tablet.

Click the Metronome icon to hear the beat so that you know what speed to sing at.

When you are finished, click "Synth + Recording" to LISTEN to your recording to check your work. If you are not happy with your recording, you can click "Try Another" to see a NEW melody. To turn in your recording, click "Submit Assignment."

If you see any red text like what is shown in this example, please be VERY CAREFUL. Listen to your recording and be sure you are happy with it before you submit! If you don't check your recording, and the teacher can't her it, you will not get the points for the assignment.
